UC Blue & Gold members have access to Babylon, a mobile app where you can make an appointment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.¹ Video chat with a doctor or therapist when you need it from the comfort of your home, work or anywhere else. Book video appointments with your healthcare provider and use smart tools that can help you stay healthy. With Babylon, you have access to healthcare at no cost to you.

What you get with the Babylon app

• 24/7¹ access to appointments. Seeing a provider through Babylon is simple. Simply book an appointment and talk to a doctor when it works for you. You can even get medically necessary prescriptions.² Babylon providers can also order labs and X-rays, if needed to treat your condition.³
• A symptom checker. An AI-powered tool that can analyze your symptoms, identify possible causes, and provide recommendations on possible next steps⁠.
• Mental health support. Babylon gives you access to virtual treatment for anxiety, depression and more. Behavioral health services are available Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Pacific time).

How to get started

The Babylon app is free to use. Get started by downloading the app (Apple Store) (Google Play). Enter your personal information and the code HNCOM.

You must be 18 or older to sign up. If you are a parent or guardian setting up an account for a child under 18, you must sign up first and then add the child to your account. You will also need to be present during the child's Babylon video appointment.

You may receive services on an in‐person basis or via telehealth, if available, from your primary care provider, a treating specialist or from another contracting individual health professional, contracting clinic, or contracting health facility consistent with the service and existing timeliness and geographic access standards required under California law. Any cost share for services received through Babylon will accrue toward your out-of-pocket maximum and deductible (if your plan has a deductible). By scheduling through Babylon, you consent to receive services via telehealth through Babylon. See your health plan coverage document for coverage information and for the definition of telehealth services. You have a right to access your medical records for services received through Babylon. Unless you choose otherwise, any services provided through Babylon shall be shared with your primary care provider.
