Your guide to your 2022 benefits

As you're getting to know your health plan, we want to remind you of some of the highlights for 2022!

  • The Top 10 Reasons to choose UC Blue & Gold HMO (PDF)!
  • New! Get no cost adult immunizations at Health Net pharmacies. You can now receive adult immunizations at $0 copayment at most Health Net contracted pharmacies. You can also continue to receive a no-cost flu shot, COVID-19 vaccine and booster at your in-network doctor's office and also at Health Net contracted pharmacies.
  • New! Specialty Medication Split Fill Program. Specialty medications are often expensive and may also include side effects that prevent patients from taking the medication or require a change to the dosage. Members can obtain an initial 2-week supply of high cost orally-administered anti-cancer drugs at no cost. This will determine if the patient can tolerate the high cost therapy before obtaining and paying for a full prescription supply.
  • New! Change to generic substitutions. Without prior authorization from Health Net, there is no coverage for brand name drugs when a generic equivalent is available. If it is medically necessary for you to take a brand name drug when a generic equivalent is available, you will pay $40 (for a up to a 30-day supply) or $80 (for a up to a 90-day supply). Your doctor will need to provide documentation to Health Net (through the prescription drug prior authorization process) explaining why you are unable to take a generic equivalent.
